THE EXECUTIVE MASTER
OF LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE
(EMLG) BEGINS
On 6 July, the Executive Master of Leadership
and Governance opened. Its first intake of 104
participants has now joined.
The programme is built for people who are
already in the rooms where decisions are made
and who want to be better at being there. This
group came in two tracks: candidates nominated
by the institutions they serve, and candidates
who applied to ASG.
The thinking behind it is worth stating plainly.
Most executive education asks senior people to
step away from their work in order to study their
work. EMLG is built the other way round, on the
belief that the problem a practitioner is currently
stuck on is the most valuable curriculum
available, and that they should bring it into the
classroom rather than leave it at the office.
“Our goal is not simply to award another degree. It is to build a
community of leaders who can think beyond sectors, operate
across boundaries and translate bold ideas into measurable
outcomes.”
