EXECUTIVE EDUCATION
This quarter, our Executive Education programme graduated 51 Africans, both emerging leaders and
those already in leadership positions, through two short courses. Leadership Fundamentals for High
Performance took 27 emerging leaders through how they lead themselves, their teams and the systems
around them.
For 24 mid-career and senior leaders, Leading Through Strategic Foresight using Anticipatory
Governance focused on planning further ahead and deciding with more confidence under uncertainty.
A third programme is now underway. On 3 August, ASG launched the African Academy for Women in
Political Leadership with the African Union, UNDP and the African Women Leaders Network.
Its first cohort brings together 40 sitting women
political leaders, from ministers and speakers of
parliament to mayors and party leaders, across
28 countries in Africa and the Caribbean. The
fully funded programme combines virtual
modules with a residential convening, and the
cohort will graduate in a virtual ceremony on 15
October.
